LATEST NEWSBelfast office
Scotshield are proud to announce our commitment to Belfast with a dedicated office in the city. We look forward to expanding our business into Ireland. Project successes
In line with the market uplift our Dundee Branch also produced their best month of the year by securing 3 key projects at a total value of £175k, work that confirms our commitment and focus to our long-term strategy in this area. On top of this we also had confirmation that we have won the Scotrail project tendered out of the Glasgow Branch and worth over £300K for the installation of CCTV at a number of key rail stations in the west.
Inverness base
2004 has seen us pick up a number of major projects in Scotland, England and Ireland and this summary does not include further projects we have won such as the last 3 tenders for public space CCTV systems in Glasgow, the "Palmaris" projects in Glasgow and Edinburgh and many others. Major project wins
The search for an office in Inverness started in earnest when in January 2004 it was confirmed we had secured the contract to upgrade and install CCTV in six towns in the Highlands. This contract is for 10 years and is based on a "partnership" arrangement with the local authorities. European expansion
October 2003 was a month that saw us secure our first 'European' order when we were awarded the €153,000 upgrade of hardrive digital recorders for IBM Dublin. Since the successful completion of this project we have received two further orders from IBM Ireland.
Glasgow museums
Design and installation of the first phase of Glasgow Museums was rewarded in December 2003 when we secured Phase II of this pretigious project, taking our order value to over £1. We have integrated and networked a number of key safety systems including Fire, Access Control and CCTV to protect our national treasures. This was the largest project of its type in Scotland and Scotshield showed we are best placed to deliver this project on time within budget.
Edinburgh success
Our Edinburgh Branch confirmed their biggest month of 2004 in January when orders in excess of £400k including Newbattle Health Centre (NHC) and various other projects were confirmed. Edinburgh schools project
February 2004. The final five sites for the Edinburgh Schools Project, worth over £1.5 million, was awarded.
Glasgow City Chambers
Understanding the need to employ sympathetic measures to ensure the complete fire safety of Glasgow City Chambers was instrumental in our approach to producing a comprehensive proposal, in compliance with the preservation orders on the building and the current British Standards.
Turning heads at the Falkirk Wheel
Providing fire protection for one of the country's largest and exceptional pieces of modern engineering has been a project that Scotshield Fire and Security have been delighted to embrace and develop.
Keeping all of our children safe
A comprehensive understanding of fire, security and life safety requirements, puts us at the forefront of our market for system design, installation and long term maintenance within the educational facilities.
